The skill that we all honed since the day we were born, that allowed us to learn how to walk and how to talk.
great piece :) I think it was Joan Didion (I have no idea really) who said do not strive for perfection, excellence is more than adequate. I like to think of it doing the creative work as "having most excellent fun"
I really enjoyed this piece. And it made me me think about my own experience, as I sometimes fall into the trap of making my writing this outcome based thing, which takes all the fun out of it. But then when I remember why I started writing in the first place and I just have fun with it, I always enjoy the process (and often the end product) way more.
